Monzilla Media recently designed a fresh new site for Pro-Touch Jet Ski and Boat Rentals.

Beginning with an existing site built with an old WYSIWYG web-page editor, Monzilla Media extracted the key bits of information regarding the Pro-Touch business and flushed the rest of the old design right down the toilet. Definitely time for a fresh start on this one.

Discussing their goals and intentions for the site, the owners of Pro-Touch Rentals emphasized their desire for a good-looking site that put their products and services right up front, with easy-to-navigate pages that provide visitors with all of their key information: products, services, policies, rates, specials, details, and so on.

The layout for the Pro-Touch site was initially prepared in PhotoShop and then hand-coded in Dreamweaver with the principles of modern web design and web standards firmly in mind. Each line of HTML was carefully and articulately written with a focus on clean structure, proper formatting, and search-engine optimization.

Once the markup was complete, the presentational aspect of the design was hand-crafted with a set of custom graphics and plenty of cross-browser-compatible CSS. Large, clear fonts were used throughout the site, with plenty of contrast provided between text and background elements. Imagery was carefully prepared to be semi-translucent to keep the overall design aesthetic light and playful.

After the presentational and structural components of the site were in place, it was time to flesh everything out with the site’s content and product images, as provided by the owners of Pro-Touch Boat Rentals. Once that was complete, some unobtrusive JavaScript embellishments were applied to ensure consistent and accessible compatibility across different browsing platforms. After several iterations of fine-tuning, updating, editing, and detailing, the site was finally complete and in tip-top shape. Another job well done (if I do say so myself)!
