Monzilla Media recently designed a new website for Dead Letter Art.

Dead Letter Art (DLa) is a collective of multimedia creatives focused on art, photography, esoteric design, and desktop publishing. The DLa group publishes a periodical art ‘zine called Dead Letter Art, which showcases their latest artwork, collaborations and ideas. At the time of their site redesign, their collective archive of works, photos, and back issues was enormous. Dead Letter Art asked Monzilla Media to help renovate their crusty old website into something fresh, original and inspiring.

After careful structural planning and intense content organization, Monzilla Media developed an completely new site for the fine folks at Dead Letter Art. The new site is rich, dark, and beautiful, with a vast array of features and carefully prepared galleries. Art, photo and issue galleries flow within a dynamic site architecture that showcases the latest DLa news, events, and happenings. The also provides a complete library directory, robust search functionality, and full-flavored, spam-free chat forum. Additionally, comprehensive statistical software was integrated into the site along with an “at-a-glance,”, maintenance-free administration panel.

The site was built using a customized version of WordPress, with Monzilla Media services including the following:

  • Brand identity and strategic site planning
  • Dynamic website design and development
  • Integrated full-feature statistics software
  • Site security measures and optimization
  • Web Standards via PHP, XHTML, and CSS
  • Custom graphic design for site imagery
